The Christian Science Mother Church, officially known as The First Church of Christ, Scientist, is located in Boston, Massachusetts, and serves as the central headquarters and spiritual center of the Christian Science religion. It is a prominent architectural and religious landmark in the city The main edifice, known as The Original Mother Church, was completed in 1894 and designed by architect Franklin I. Welch in a Romanesque Revival style. It features a Byzantine-inspired dome and a grand interior with intricate details and beautiful stained glass windows.\n\nHere, the Church is seen partially reflected in the long reflecting pool at the Christian Science Center.

In 1972, the Boylston Street Building opened at the central Copley Square location, adjacent to the McKim building. The Boylston Street Building occupies ten levels; four levels of public services, a staff administration and procession floor, four levels of book stacks for the research collection, and one level shared by utilities, maintenance, and stacks. The addition was designed by American architect Philip Johnson. The Boston Public Library (BPL) municipal public library was the first publicly supported municipal library in U.S., first large library open to public in U.S..

Seattle, King County, Washington state, United States: Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce - the largest business association in the region, represents the economic interests of its corporate members in the metro region of Seattle - Completed in 1924 to a design by Harlan Thomas, inspired in medieval Italian churches - the pedimented façade is divided into three parts enframed by pilasters; a central bay is flanked by blind arched bays to each side. The façade is capped by rake trim with gable end returns. A Lombardic-inspired frieze runs above a decorative blind arcaded corbel table, decorated with foliage patterns. The central entry bay of the façade includes a group of three arched windows  located above a raised frieze panel depicting ornate Romanesque arches within a blind arcade.
