In 1908, when the ownership of the building was transferred to Grand Vizier Sait Pasha, the passage was named “Sait Pasha Passage”.\nAfter a while, florists settled in the passage and started to use it as a flower auction place. Therefore, the name was changed to “Flower Passage”.\nToday, there are more restaurants, shops and various shops.

The boliviano has been pegged to the US dollar. Bolivia's economy is highly dependent on natural resources exports (mainly natural gas), the country has debt issue and has been using its foreign currency reserves to prop the Boliviano.
