Jay Pritzker Pavilion, also known as Pritzker Pavilion or Pritzker Music Pavilion, is a bandshell in Millennium Park in the Loop community area of Chicago in Cook County, Illinois, United States. It is located on the south side of Randolph Street and east of the Chicago Landmark Historic Michigan Boulevard District.
Here is a view of the “Alma Mater” statue at Columbia University, seen from the back. The statue looks south across the quadrangle to the Butler Library. \n\nThe statue’s sculptor was Daniel Chester French (1850-1931,) who, among other famous works, designed the Lincoln statue at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC. \n\nAlma Mater, a representation of the University, wears a crown of laurel leaves and an academic gown. She holds a scepter in her right hand.
