The Reticulate Stargazer (Uranoscopus sp.) is a species of fish known for its unique physical features and hunting behavior. They have a flattened body, a large head, and upward-facing eyes positioned on top of their head to help them ambush prey from below. Their bodies are typically covered in mottled patterns of brown, black, and white scales that allow them to blend in with their sandy or rocky habitats. Reticulate Stargazers are found in the Indo-Pacific region, often dwelling in shallow waters along the seafloor. They are known for their ability to stun and swallow prey whole, including small fish and crustaceans.
