Boston, Massachusetts, USA - December 8, 2023: Equestrian statue of General Joseph Hooker in front of the Massachusetts State House. The 1903 bronze sculpture was designed by Daniel Chester French and Edward Clark Potter, and rests on a granite base. Joseph Hooker was an American Civil War general for the Union, chiefly remembered for his decisive defeat by Confederate General Robert E. Lee at the Battle of Chancellorsville in 1863. The Massachusetts State House is the state capitol and seat of government for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, located in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Boston.
Admiralty House designed by Samuel Pepys Cockerell, opened in 1788.\n\nIt was the official residence of First Lord of the Admiralty until 1964, also home to several British Prime Ministers when 10 Downing Street was being renovated.\n\nWinston Churchill lived here when serving as First Lord of the Admiralty for two terms, 1911–15 and 1939–40.

London, UK - June 1, 2023: The statue from 1887 of Charles Gordon (1833 - 1885) on the Embankment in London. He was famous military figure of the day and was killed in the defence of Khartoum by Sudanese rebels led by Muhammad Ahmad al-Mahdi.

Royal Hospital Chelsea on Royal Hospital Road in Chelsea, London, is a retirement home for veteran British soldiers. It is located over 66 acres and was founded by Charles II in 1682 as a nursing home for veterans. Sir Christopher Wren designed the chapel and the Great Hall.

Concord, Massachusetts, USA - March 2, 2024: The Old Manse is a historic manse in Concord, Massachusetts notable for its literary associations. The Old Manse was built in 1770 for the Rev. William Emerson, father of minister William Emerson and grandfather of transcendentalist writer and lecturer Ralph Waldo Emerson. n 1842, the American writer Nathaniel Hawthorne rented the Old Manse for $100 a year. The Old Manse The house is located on Monument Street, with the Concord River just behind it. The property neighbors the North Bridge, a part of Minute Man National Historical Park. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1966 and is open to the public as a nonprofit museum.
