In southern Brazil
Callistemon belongs to the family of Myrtaceae and commonly called bottlebrush because of its cylindrical, brush like flowers, which resemble a traditional bottle brushes. The obvious parts of the flower masses are stamens, with the pollen at the top of the filament. The color of the flowers is mostly red, but it varies with species, including white, yellow and orange. The blooming time is May and June.
