$Mackerel Scad Decapterus macarellus occurs circumglobal in tropical and subtropical oceans from 54°N to 46°S in a depth range from 0-400m, usually from 40-200m. Max. length is 46cm, common length 30cm. \nAdults prefer clear oceanic waters, frequently around islands. Usually they are seen as fast moving schools along the reef edges near deep water, like these specimen. The species feeds mainly on zooplankton, the eggs are pelagic. \nTriton Bay, south side of Dramai Rock, Indonesia, 4°2'33.4058 S 134°14'12.0248 E at 14m depth.$
