The beautiful and harmonious facade of the Abbey Church of San Pietro in the medieval heart of Assisi in Umbria, central Italy. Built in Romanesque and Gothic style in the 10th century by the Benedictines, the facade was made of red stone from the nearby Monte Subasio. It has a rectangular shape with three entrance portals and three rose windows. The large central portal is surmounted by an arch and a larger rose window.
