The Basilica of Our Lady of Prado, located in Talavera de la Reina, is famous for its impressive façade adorned with ceramic tiles. These tiles, dating from between 1569 and 1571, have recently been restored, returning the basilica to its nickname of the 'Sistine Chapel' of ceramics. Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil: the Customs Palace, former Convent of the Oratorian Fathers of Saint Philip Neri (1732) and former Customs House of Pernambuco (1826). Once the largest customs post in Imperial Brazil, the building was adapted after the demolition, in the early 19th century, of the cloister that connected it to the Madre de Deus Church. In 1932, the property belonged to the Santa Casa de Misericórdia, and was rented to the Cooperativa dos Usineiros, which transformed it into a sugar warehouse. It underwent several other uses, including becoming a vehicle parking lot. After a long period of degradation, in 2002 the building was turned into a shopping center.
