Located in one of the deadliest areas of the Alsace front, Sigolsheim National Cemetery is home to soldiers who died for France during the Battle of the Colmar Pocket (5 December 1944 – 9 February 1945). The National Necropolis is the final resting place for 1601 French soldiers who died during the fighting for the Colmar Pocket. Near the necropolis, a monument was erected to honour the American forces who fought here under French Command.\n\nSigolsheim - Alsace - France - September 27 - 2024
