Squash preparation of onion root tip cells stained to reveal chromosomes, Bright field illumination, light microscopy. This image was taken with the X40 objective lens. Depth of focus is extremely low at this magnification. Smaller apertures give greater depth of focus, but image quality deteriorates and resolution is greatly reduced. The aperture in this image was optimised for contrast and resolution. Chromatic abberation is inevitable in light microscopy, but has been kept to a minimum in this image.

Paramecium caudatum is a genus of unicellular ciliated protozoan and Bacterium under the microscope.
Aspergillus fumigatus is one of the most common Aspergillus species to cause disease in individuals with an immunodeficiency. This pathogen primarily causes invasive infection in the lung.
Microscopic fungi Malassezia furfur, showing yeast cells and hyphae. dermatophytes, Nail scraping or skin scraping for fungus test in microbiology laboratory.
Computational tomography image of the abdominal and pelvic regions.
Hyperproliferation, adenomatous polyps and pre-cancerous polyps are benign. Adenocarcinoma and colorectal cancer are malign.
Photomicrograph of rotifer, probably Rotaria rotatoria. Rapidly rotating cilia at top of head, internal organs visible. Green circles are algae. Live specimen. Original image at 40X, wet mount, transmitted brightfield illumination. Indistinct image due to motion blur of live specimen and very shallow depth of field of brightfield illumination.
An electron image represents several nanoparticles made of lipids (liposomes) containing an anticancer drug (doxorubicin)
Carcinoid tumors are a type of slow-growing cancer that can arise in several places throughout your body. Carcinoid tumors, which are one subset of tumors called neuroendocrine tumors, usually begin in the digestive tract (stomach, appendix, small intestine, colon, rectum) or in the lungs. Site: Ovary
Showing Light micrograph Type of Tissue Human under the microscope in Lab.
Squash preparation of stained onion root tip cells showing various stages of mitosis. Differential interference contrast optics on a Leica microscope, Image taken with the X40 objective lens. Depth of focus is extremely shallow (just a few microns). Differential interference contrast results in an optical slice horizontally through the specimen providing maximum possible resolution at this magnification and good contrast. Chromatic abberation is inevitable in light microscopy, but has been kept to a minimum in this image.
A plant cell is a fundamental unit of plant life, containing various organelles, including the cell wall, chloroplasts, and a large central vacuole, which are unique to plant cells. These cells serve as the building blocks of plants and play essential roles in photosynthesis, growth, and structural support.
