The Karnak temple complex at Luxor developed over more than 1,000 years, principally between the Twelfth and Twentieth Dynasties. It was, at its peak, the largest and most important religious complex in ancient Egypt. Mada'in Saleh is an archaeological site located in the region of Al Madinah, western Saudi Arabia. A majority of the remaining tombs date from the Nabatean kingdom. The site constitutes the kingdom's southernmost and largest settlement after the capital Petra.

Petra, built around 300 B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, is the world famous archaeological site in Jordan's southwestern desert.
