$Deciduous tree to 25m, with smooth silvery-gray bark striped with brown; trunk fluted. Leaves oval, pointed, somewhat pleated, sharply toothed, hairy on veins beneath. Catkins greenish to 5cm, with the leaves. Fruit in pendant clusters, surrounded by 3-lobed bracts; nuts small.\nFlowering Season: April-May.\nHabitat: Woods, hedgerows and scrub, occasionally pollarded, mostly in low altitudes.\nDistribution: S. Britain and Europe, north to S Sweden.\n\nThis Picture is made during a Long Weekend in the South of Belgium in June 2019.$

$Acacia baileyana, also called Cootamundra waffle, is a large evergreen shrub or small tree, adorned with a wide-spreading canopy and weeping branches, clothed in feathery, finely cut, blue-gray leaves. The foliage remains appealing all year round. In late winter to early spring, clouds of bright golden-yellow, small, rounded flowers held in axillary racemes cover the branches and create a striking floral display. As some photos show, it is a great plant for slopes and banks.\nThese photos were taken on a very windy day in spring.$

A deciduous Chestnut Tree, Aesculus , a European temperate northern hemisphere Horse Chestnut tree, blossoms in Spring. In North America this tree is commonly known as a Buckeye. In Britain they are also known as Conker trees, because of the fact that the fruit, the brown conker nut, is used in a traditional game, called conkers. The term 'horse' refers to their strength and inedibility - not anything to do with horses/ Lots of good copy space.

A large bunch of Wild Cherry flowers, about half have been pollinated. They are growing with some leaves on a single branch. Very well focussed with good details against a background with sky patches showing through the branches.
