Leonotis leonurus, also known as Lion’s tail and Wild dagga, is a plant species of the mint family Lamiaceae. It is a broad leaf, evergreen, large shrub, native to the Southern Africa. It is prized for its dazzling orange flowers, reminiscent of Lion’s tails. Blooming from late spring to fall, the tubular two-lipped flowers appear in tiered whole around the top half of the upright stems. It is perennial in mild climate areas and works well as annual in regions with cold winter.
