Manikin cigar outer box containing a pack of playing cards manufactured by Charles Goodall & Son Ltd. in about 1930. The box displays, within an oval, a Pegasus flying horse astride two hemispheres, a mark used by J. R. Freeman & Son, the original manufacturers of Manikin cigars. Words on the box: Manikin cigars. Mild Havana flavour J. R. Freeman & Son Ltd. founded in 1839, was taken over by Gallahers in 1947. The Manikin cigar brand disappeared in the 1990s.

A steam engine like this would have been used to power a threshing machine or other farm machinery. Although steam engines and steam tractors were used in the US until the late 1930s and early 40s, collector goups were already forming by the time this photo was taken in 1958 to preserve steam engines and tractors. A bar at Namutoni Fort at Etosha National Park in Kunene Region, Namibia. It was built in 1896 as a German police post and used as a prison for English prisoners during World War I.  Destroyed in 1904 during the Battle of Namutoni, it was rebuilt a year later and declared a monument in 1947, and restored in 1957. Today it is a completely free to enter monument with no payment required and is located at Namutoni camp. The inside is abandoned.
