An Endangered (IUCN 3.1) Atelopus Seminiferus toad is seen on a moss covered branch. This toad is endemic to Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests and rivers.  This toad is rarely seen in the wild. The patterns and color ranges on the body and leg is unique.  This toad is only 5 cm long. In this photo the frog is wild.

The saddleback toads are a genus of small, colourful toads the family Brachycephalidae in the order Anura.Brachycephalus species are tiny, often yellow frogs that are native to Atlantic Forest in southeastern Brazil.They have only three toes on each foot, and two fingers on each hand. Brachycephalus species are active during the day, and live in the leaf litter on forest floors. The picture of this  ona was taken in Nova Friburgo, Rio de Janeiro Sate, Brazil

A Atelopus seminiferus nominal toad couple is seen mating on a moss log.  This endangered toad (IUCN 3.1) can only be found in the Amazon Rainforest of Peru.  This small toad is dark black on top and bright red in the belly.  In this photo you can see a small male and larger female adult toad.  The toads appear to be muscular.
