Vladivostok, Russia - July 23, 2022: The burnt fishing vessel on a mooring with other ship.
The ship has been captured by Philippine authorities in 2009 and they found high-powered weapons on board. The captain of the vessel, British captain Bruce Anthony Jones, was murdered in ambush in 2010 in Angeles City. The Department of Justice reportedly made him a state witness in the firearms smuggling case. The previous year, the Captain had begged for police protection from a weapons-smuggling cartel involved in firearms traffic in he Philippines for use by terrorists in the south of the country or by some politicians preparing for the 2010 elections. The Captain been arrested the same year for possession of illegal drugs, but subsequently got out on bail. The guns had been acquired in Indonesia. The seized and abandoned cargo ship has been in the custody of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and stayed anchored in Manila Bay since 2011 until it sank in July 2016. In August 2017, Philippine and US divers practiced diving techniques to prepare salvage operations.

With waves of up to four or five metres high, they crashed through civilians homes, towns and fields.

Kesenuma, Japan - February 10, 2013:  This picture was taken 1 year and 11 moths after 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami disaster, giving an idea of the destruction that the tsunami left on the territory. 330-ton trawler Kyotomaru was swept around 500 meters inland by the tsunami on March 11, 2011. It also survived a subsequent fire that engulfed the small city on Japan’s northeast coast. The ship was dismantled 7 month after this shot around 2013 September.
