WHY NOT TURN DULL PILLARS INTO SELF SERVICE CHECKOUT LIKE TARGET
Dear Mr. Ward,
There is always a long queue at Officeworks – QV Mall, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. If Target Centre – Bourke Street, Melbourne could install items on their pillars e.g. phones. Why not install self service checkout screens, barcode scanner and EFTPOS machine on the dull and unused pillars scattered throughout the store? Learning that MYER and David Jones have several payment counters throughout the same floor level of their store, it is not a strict rule to have one checkout counter nearest to the store’s exit. It is neither a must to have someone to bag the items (you charge for paper bags) or be afraid of theft(there are no guard by the exit and there is anti theft scanner by the store’s exit) retail technology transportation signs foodanddrinks |
