Police responded to the area and as police were canvassing the area, they received a call from St. Mary’s Hospital to report a 25 year old male was at their facility with a gunshot wound to his leg. The male stated to police he was sitting in his backyard when he heard gunshots and then realized he had been shot. He was then transported to the hospital by a friend. Detective Bureau members then responded and processed the scene where they located evidence of the shooting and were able to interview potential witnesses.
