This glorious Silver Bird is of course the iconic DC-3 that pretty much defined the civilian aviation industry as we know it today. It's hard to overstate the importance of this magnificent little airliner. This absolutely stunning example is in the sky thanks to the efforts of the DC Association in Finland, and she flies in the Aero OY livery that became Finnair in the fullness of time. I'm honoured to have seen her in the flesh - she really is a graceful aircraft and she sounds beautiful. I took this shot at the Helsinki Air Show last summer.
