It was about six miles long, and I was completely out of condition and totally dead by the end of it. This year, we did another one. It was a bit shorter, at about five miles, and should have taken between 2 and 2 and a half hours. With photo stops, it ended up taking well over three and a half. It did take us to some very beautiful places though. One such place was Millerground, a lovely cascading brook down to the shores of Windermere. Catching flowing water on a long exposure is a common trick, but I didn't have the tripod and even if I did I wouldn't have carted it round on the walk. That meant I had to improvise, and to be honest I'm quite happy with the result. I think Laura might have done better though.
