It's A Level results day, and traditionally that means I offer you a shot of certificate sorting or special post from exam boards but this year, alas no! There is no post from the exam boards. Everything is received electronically and we print out the results slips in school. Another fine tradition is gone. Furthermore, I was tasked with doing the photos of happy kids opening results. What a nightmare that was! Not that the results were bad - far from it. It's just that long before school opens for results the kids are checking the UCAS website. This won't tell them what their results are, but it will tell them if they've got a university place or not. This, frankly, is all the kids are arsed about, so discovering the actual results really isn't that important. Leaps of joy were not to be found anywhere. Having failed to take anything else today, I offer you a very late effort taken on my very late walk round the park. This is a 15 second exposure on the compact, so quality is iffy at best, but to look at this view was pretty black indeed. Must try harder tomorrow... An odd one today.
