I booked Dave a flight in a microlight for a 'stag' activity, but it was sadly weathered off. Then Dave booked himself and Carol on to a flight for their first wedding annivesary. And it was weathered off. Finally, a successful flight was booked, and by now I'd lost enough weight to be able to fly myself! Result! It was just a 20 minute taster flight, but a joyous experience! It was incredibly smooth and stable, and the panoramic viewpoint was just breathtaking. It really was like being on a motorbike a thousand feet in the air. This shot is looking East up the Mersey toward Seaforth container port, at about 1,500 feet. All of my photos are terrible as I was trying to shoot with my compact using thick padded gloves. But it doesn't matter if the photos are rough. The flight was smooth and the experience a fabulous one! :D Great fun today...microlighting!
