Through the years we've dealt with fire, flood, theft and all manner of crises but the one that really tests us is when the coffee machine breaks. ;) The moment of panic hit at about ten o'clock when the grinder started making its "I'm out of beans" whine, even though it had lots of beans in. Fortunately I stayed cool and focussed and just worked the problem. With the help of a screwdriver and a vacuum cleaner she's up and running again, though I'm not entirely sure what the problem was. Sometimes it's possible to get a drop or two of water ingress when you're filling the machine and that can turn the coffee dust in the grinder into sludge. I'll keep running it today (obviously) and monitoring it for odd behaviour. Here's hoping all is well. :) Phew - a close call in work today.
