From it she learned that HMS Illustrious was visiting us. We decided that as Laura needed to do a pickup at Waterstones anyway, we'd go and have a look. The weather was kind to us, with strong and low February light. The skies were lovely though. On the way from ship to shop we were blessed to hear the quote of the day. A family, scurrying back to their car from Liverpool One, had to pause while the tweenage girl was captivated by one of the water features. Dipping her toe into the pool, her paternal rebuke was the deliciously terse: "Who d'ya think yer are? Jesus!?" We laughed.
