We travelled into the city to buy some stuff and then travelled to the airport, then travelled to another airport. Yes, it was the return journey from Helsinki to Liverpool via Amsterdam. We were a bit nervous as the connection in Schiphol was a little tight. Fortunately we made it, but sadly our luggage didn't. The bags aren't lost, it's just that the time was too short and the airport too big. The irony of course is that the plane they came off and the plane they had to go back on to were probably less then 400m apart on the apron, but of course it doesn't work that way! It's no problem - I just pick the bags up tomorrow from Liverpool as it's pretty close to work and that will be quicker and easier than waiting for a courier. The photo is the winglet at the tip of the port wing of our KLM Embraer 190, PH-EZG, somewhere over northern Europe at about six miles up. I've possibly got more interesting photos from today (which I'll post, I'm sure) but this best serves what the day was about. Hats off to KLM for two good flights. Shame about the luggage, but hey - it happens. :) Today really was a day pretty much about travel.
