It's the light studded canopy outside the Philharmonic Hall, which was my first visit since an extensive refurb. The concert hall looks very little different, though improvements clearly have been made. One 'improvement' was the addition of projection to the back of the stage. They've now employed a visual director to throw up animated slides during the concerts - or at least at the concert I went to. I was really struggling to tune them out and I'd much prefer they were turned off, or at least not animated. Nevertheless, a lovely Christmassy concert with a great guest soprano (despite the freakishly long arms she had). Good fun indeed. Isn't this pretty?
