It's a brightly lit sky, and running up the centre of frame is a contrail. What's interesting is that running alongside the contrail is a darker, almost clearer patch. What I'm trying to work out is whether this dark blue streak is a shadow cast by the contrail, or a channel of clearer air blown by the passing jet. My first thought was shadow, but it seems to extend all the way to the top of frame, so now I'm not sure. I suppose if the height difference between the contrail and the cloud cover is big enough then it could still be shadow. Any guesses?
