I've mentioned before that we're sometimes blessed with the Beluga as well, but it's rare that we get any really heavy metal. Imagine my surprise then when I stepped out at lunchtime to hear the throaty roar of a Boeing C17 Globemaster flying over at very low altitude. These are VERY rare birds on the western side of the country. Needless to say, I whipped my phone out of my arse pocket and waiting for it to load the camera software. And waited. And waited. What we got was this gem of empty sky and treetops. Still, if you're feeling bored I can tell you that there IS a Boeing C17 in this photo. Good luck in finding it. :) Being sited where my workplace is, we get lots and lots of really high altitude transatlantic traffic and quite a bit of low altitude 737 and Airbus 320 series aircraft operating out of Liverpool Airport.
