Given that RAF Leuchars was very, very quiet yesterday, we expected that we might get something similar today. Not so! Our spotters' instinct took us to a little back road with a great vantage point, and we saw more Tornadoes than the hurricane season in Kansas. They were seriously, seriously, loud. Much louder than at an airshow - at least that's how it seemed to me. The trip there was lovely as well. The three miles on the A96 leading east into Elgin took us through possibly the most idyllically beautiful forest that I've ever seen. Yes, a good day.
