It's been quite an interesting aviation day today. The first spot of the day was my reward for looking up when I heard the unmistakeable sound of a heavy helicopter flying over school. Sure enough, a Chinook seemed to be on its way somewhere. Then, knock me down with a weather, what do I see whilst I'm driving home? Only the flippin' Good Year Airship! People of a certain age will remember this vividly from the seventies when it was a staple at sports fixtures where it would often be used as a camera platform. I haven't seen one in years and years. This is, obviously, a truly abominable photo, taken out the car window with a compact, but it couldn't not be photo of the day!
