This is our large format printer, and for the past few months I've been having hell and all trouble with the matt black/red printhead clogging up (it has six heads and twelve ink tanks). Today enough was enough as I realised that I did in fact have a replacement in stock! The replacement meant that it needed to run the printhead alignment procedure. This is relatively automated as the print head has a scanner built in to do the alignment (it was a very expensive device) but it does need paper. What's frustrating is that the display says 'load paper for printhead alignment' but it DOESN'T tell you that the paper has to be bigger than A4. That means I was loading it with A4 and sitting like a lemon while it says something along the lines of "paper load successful, load paper for printhead alignment". Very confusing. Still, all done now. Not a great photo day today, so here's one from work.
