Better informed Liverpool fans might offer Sami Hyypia, but only after a struggle. Given enough prompting though, most people might have a dim and distant association between Sibelius and Finland. Today we visited the Sibelius Monument, which is a huge sculpture of lots of tubular bells. Laura tells me that it caused controversy when unveiled in the sixties as it wasn't a statue of him. I think this is far better. A statue would be nice, but nobody would go to visit it. This monument however got two busloads of Japanese tourists just in the short time we were there.
