Sue and Matt took Olivia and Ethan to Dobbie's Garden Centre in Speke and whilst there Olivia took a great fondness to a small bunny that she called Flopsy. As Flopsy is not complex mammalian but polyresin, it was a low maintenance purchase. After a lovely day they got home, and Ethan decided that he wanted to hold Flopsy. Then he wanted to raise Flopsy quite high (by his standards). Then he decided to test Flopsy's physical resiliency by releasing Flopsy from height onto a hard floor. As I'm sure you can imagine, Flopsy's life shed a brief but lovely light. Poor Livvy was really upset. Today, it's entirely possible that Uncle Pete slipped out to Dobbie's at lunchtime and that Flopsy's twin is sitting in the back garden staring at some tasty grass. :) And so begins the tale...
