Yes, really. So amongst other things today was a trip out to the near legendary pile of bricks at the start of 22R to catch some departing aircraft. It was quite bizarre actually. In the space of maybe an hour and a half Finnair seemingly put the entire fleet up into the sky, leaving the airport almost empty. Very strange. Mind you, HEL tends to attract traffic that is at least 80% Finnair. They codeshare with a lot of people, and run a great service, so there's little point in anyone else in One World running their own flights. That said, we did see BA's plane arrive and leave. Rather than force yet another plane on you though, I was gifted with the fact that planes aren't the only winged beasties that you can find at airfields!
