The haul actually includes not one but two photos of Laura that I rather like, and she can often be a challenge to shoot naturally. What I didn't expect to be my photo of the day was this. The hospital where Laura worked has done quite a bit of remodelling and she was keen to see how it turned out, so we went along to check it out (yeah, not your normal holiday excursion, I know). Parked outside was this huge row of bicycles (a very popular way to get around in Helsinki, particularly during the summer) and I crouched to get a shot of them. Something about the way the field depth turned out really appealed to me, and so it got elevated to photo of the day. Other activities included buying coffee (yey!) and meeting up with Laura's Dad to go and get some eats. I ended up with some salmon that tasted like it had been fried in the world's heaviest pan and it was just amazingly delicious. Anyway, more of these shots when I get home :) Given that we didn't do too much today, the photo haul was actually quite good, and I've had to stroke my chin a little to decide on a photo of the day.
