He asked me if we could go and be near some planes, so we went along to the back of Speke Airport to catch some take offs and landings. This is Ryanair flight FR9896 from Cork on the last stages of its approach. Mike seemed to enjoy it, and felt like he got a lot from it. Interestingly, on the way to the airport he hit a kid who ran out into the road. The kid was fine, but it does show that those annoying people who say that statistically the most dangerous part of a flight is getting to the airport might actually be right! ;) Mike is going away on holiday soon, and he's not a confident flyer.
