It's a very nice Praktica MTL3, which is the very model that I cut my teeth on fifteen years ago. Along with it is a pile of stuff, including a 135mm lens, a starburst filter, a Metz Mecablitz flash, remote shutter cable and off shoe flash cable - and macro extension tubes! It's clearly the kit of a very enthusiastic amateur who wasn't afraid to spend a few quid! Most interesting of all to me was the bag it came in. Before Lowepro started flogging us neoprene lined rucksacks camera bags were a bit different. This is a sturdy leather(ette) bag with lots of buckles and double stitching. And it looks wonderful - perhaps a little anachronistic, but maybe that just gives it retro chic. I'll have a proper play with it over Summer. Mmmm.
