The answer it seems is Crosby Beach! We waved farewell to Bex this morning and then I had a frustrating afternoon wrestling with Sue's computer. When the afternoon had been blown, Laura suggested a short trip out to Crosby. Much to my surprise (why? It was a boiling hot day) Crosby was absolutely rammed. It was really weird to see people using it as a holiday beach, even risking a dip in Liverpool Bay. It must be between ten and twenty years ago when I remember seeing raw sewage rolling up on the beach. How times change! This marvellous piece of sand architecture was clearly a leftover of someone's hard endeavour. We liked it.
