This is a strawberry from the vegetable plot in school which is lovingly tended by the kids in the gardening club. As a surprise treat, the lead teacher picked the crop and laid on a cream tea outside for the kids. I got some of the leftovers today, and in the pot was this - the kind of strawberry that supermarkets seem keen to somehow protect us from.
