One of the nicer opportunities was that Laura and Lingy the Bear got the chance to try out the cockpit of a Red Arrows Hawk. I'm not sure which if them was happier to be there, but Laura definitely has the bigger smile! Update! Laura has done some homework, and it seems that this plane, XX308, rather than just being a fibreglass shell that gets dragged round displays, was in active use last year as Red 1 in the very capable hands of Jas Hawker. We did in fact see this very plane fly as part of the display at Farnborough. Yey! And why is this #145a? For that you'll need to see 145b!
