Laura fancied the Southend Air Show, and that's where we've been. The first day was a bit fraught. Owing to it being Dave's birthday we opted to go to the show on Monday, staying over Sunday and Monday night. Then we saw the forecast for Monday was terrible, so we decided to try and also catch as much of Sunday's display as we could. Unfortunately Southend Council haven't quite got the concept of traffic management sorted yet, so the last twenty miles of the trip were nose to tail traffic and on finally reaching Southend there was nowhere, and I mean nowhere, to park. Annnnnnyway. We managed to catch the last couple of display turns, which included this - the Red Arrows display with which they traditionally kick off their UK display season. Though there were one or two little positional foibles to iron out, it was as always a thrilling and polished display. :) Due to my lack of posting, regular followers may well have guessed that we've been away for a couple of days.
