Unfortunately it's been standing for a while and the battery went flat. I started charging it, only to find that the low voltage made the alarm go nuts to the point where it rolled the drivers window down! I disconnected the battery and then charged it overnight. When I got home from work I reconnected the battery and she started - yey! Unfortunately I neglected to move the battery charger out of the engine bay! Oops! Here's a lesson...when a cable gets near an hot exhaust manifold it melts. Oops. Ah well. It's only an exposed mains cable at 240V. It's not like it was next to a pressurised fuel rail or anything. Oh...hang on... ;) The photo is of the bit of flex that I cut out to make the charger safe again. Doh!
