Thereafter he became professor of International Law and International Relations at Zagreb University until 1949, participating at the Peace Conference in Paris and for a time acting as council-advocate before the International Court of Justice at The Hague. In 1949, Ivo and his wife left Yugoslavia for France and came to London in 1951.
