Imagine mothers with children needing a place to sit in order to take a break from shopping; Mothers and young children would really appreciate a working bench to rest their feet. I really hope government agencies in #Melbourne would take the initiative to channel the feedback to other agencies on behalf of the public member (if the agency at the first point of contact is not the right place for the feedback) instead of sending the public member on a merry go around chase, bouncing off from different agencies to find the right place to send their feedback. Thanks. I must be strange to escalate this observation as i am not a citizen of Australia. Am i wasting my time and effort for action that has no direct monetary rewards to me (my tertiary education and life experience taught me that most people wouldn't bother with tasks that has no direct monetary rewards to them) That is untrue! I am pretty sure, you can hire people to volunteer for menial tasks for the sole purpose of making money for you to spend the profits on your material desires. Purpose of observation: Creating complaints by investing my time, effort and resources to create jobs for (in this example) engineers and technicians who are from the lower or middle class to fix the bench. If there wasn't any complaint at the cost of an email, how would it justify the job stability of the engineers? How would the engineers meet their Key Performance Indicators? Complaints create job opportunities to the engineers and technicians; provide income and feed families. Even if the engineers may not understand the bigger picture behind and view this as an additional workload. Side effect. Better and proper benches for all Melbournians of diverse cultures. Why am i nosey? Ans: I am not a citizen of Australia, but i am a citizen of Earth.
