The store incurred opportunity cost of $3000 of lost sales from me. Now imagine that $3000 goes into your management bonus... Imagine i am not the only customer. How many other customers are turned away from this purchase in the industry? Answer: More than one! Would you reject higher Bonus from greater profits due to the right product placement, or would you keep quiet even though you noticed the business opportunity; for fear of losing your job and/or antagonizing powerful people? Answer: Anyone would be afraid and keep quiet. Everybody wants to change the world. But nobody wants to change themselves. How does that reflect your values as a person?
