I wanted to see how well the panels hold up without being reinforced from the inside. The 9 sections that make up the hull are connected to each other with 14 friction pins between each section (there's room for 4 more if strengthening is needed later). The pins that connect the white 5x11 panels together leave a circular hole the width of one Lego bar through the whole length of the hull (a tiny tunnel, if you will). Looking at one end of the hull, I can see the tiny circular holes on the other side. So this whole thing doesn't bend under its own weight. It's very lightweight and feels rock solid when you twist it around. There is space enough inside to add technic bricks to strengthen the hull if needed, but I'd rather use the remaining connection points on the white panels to add details on top of the hull. Obviously it's also super modular this way. This leaves me with enough spare panels to build more vessels in this style. They could either be SHIPs or smaller craft (making a whole fleet).
