T. C. Wheaton gaffer finishing necks of wide mouthed jars. He rotates the bottle on a sheet of iron pressing open the mouth with the tool he is holding in his right hand. The jars are then taken by snapping-up boy to be annealed. The white formation on the right hand side of the picture is molten glass which has been hung there by the blowers.
