The story goes that Peter Fazer, a grandson of Karl Fazer, loved the Japonica pastry that he enjoyed in the Fazer cafe in Helsinki (don't forget they're a massive baking firm as well). He decided to see if the japonais filling could be made to work with chocolate, and the Geisha line was born. This is once again in the five block bar format weighing in at 37g. It's a smooth hazelnut filling with a fairly mild flavour. The chocolate to filling ratio is good and it melts nicely in the mouth. Interestingly the filling seemed a little coarser than in the individually wrapped chocolates. I'll be intrigued to see what the pastilles are like. They've recently introduced the same product line with dark instead of milk chocolate, but here we're with the traditional milk chocolate. Fabulous.
