| Keywords: Drummie Zeb (2).JPG own Drummiezeb Musicians from unidentified countries Males with dreadlocks Facial expressions Zeb is a world renowned Drummer and Percussion player he didn ™t just wake up one day and find himself a member of the Wailers and Kenny Chesney ™s band He ™s been playing drums accomplishing his love for rhythm over the past thirty years Drummie Zeb played with the Wailers for ten years; Nationally and Internationally traveled with musicians such as; Kenny Chesney and Friends Jake Owens Zac Brown Band Sugarland Montgomery Gentry Miranda Lambert Lady Antebellum Jim Horn Mac McAnally Marcia Griffith Monty Irie Ann Marie Ingus Plonky and Oneness Dean Fraiser Tony Garnier Bass player and musical director for Bob Dylan Rico Rauel Chinna Smith 311 OAR UB40 Michael Kidfunkadelic Hampton Derek Barnett Andrew Tosh Nambo Robertson Chico Chant Vin Gordon Evron and Everett Gayl Peter Broggs Eek A Mouse Frankie Paul Louis Rankin Gregory Issacs The Itals Zac Brown Band Parliament Funkadelic Paul Simon Kidd Rock The Awareness Art Ensemble my personal band The Razor Posse and now currently another one of my personal bands Regwa Country Reggae The event that really set things up for Zeb with The Wailers came when he was playing with The Awareness Art Ensemble the two groups were on the same bill numerous times He sat in on their sound checks playing along side Aston Family Man Barrett the original Bassist of the Wailers who produced arranged and wrote much of The band ™s legendary catalog Drummie Zeb Maintaing his relationship with Family Man twelve years ago an Awareness Art Ensemble manager who had also worked with the Wailers heard that the Wailers needed a Drummer Shortly Drummie Zeb found himself playing in the most internationally known Reggae band enhancing his creativity as an artist now driven to bring new sound and rhythm to the masses With Is It Rolling Bob a reggae tribute to Bod Dylan Cd 2006 with Sanctuary records Dr Dread and Drummie Zeb Everybody ˜s Gotta Serve Somebody played internationally with great success His first album produced by Drummie Zeb for his Razor Posse band was called First Time released in 1998 with the mighty King Yellowman and Derek Barnett in Kingston Jamaica at Boris Gardner studio This is what helped him tour nationally and internationally on the big stage His current projects now coming soon will be Dub ~A~ Delic alongside Mike Hampton from Parliament Funkadelic and currently Regwa Country Reggae Regwa a Country Reggae band created by Drummie Zeb and Ismail a young man from Morocco who plays the ancient healing acoustic Bass called a Gimbre have bridged with Country Moroccan and Jamaican deep roots In 2008 Kenny Chesney approached the Wailers and asked them to record and shoot a music video down in Jamaica with him ¦which later became a huge award winning hit It was called Every body wants to go to heaven with a touch of the Caribbean and Country music bridged Later that year Drummie Zeb with Wailers were invited to the Country Music Awards to perform the hit song and played Three little birds to end the performance Since the event Zeb had remained connected with the Kenny Chesney crew and found himself asked by the boss to tour with his band in the summer of 2009 The Sun City Carnival Tour and Zeb did He wasn ™t exactly sure what would come of this being a huge Country Band a genre he ™s never played but Kenny told him just play the percussions the way you always do things at this point became fun and a wonderful experience The band ™s Horn section was lead by the infamous Jim Horn whom Zeb became very honored to gain an amazing friendship with Jim is a master and Zeb has the utmost respect for this musician Another huge name he ran upon him on the Sun City Carnival Tour Jimmy Buffet ™s Mac McAnnally an amazing Guitarist singer and songwriter As with the same honor and respect he has for Jim Horn Zeb is so graciously appreciated to have played in his presence as well a phenomenal man and musician Playing with all of these great artists has helped inspire Zeb further with the Country Reggae and life Living on tour Kenny Chesney ™s band was routinely recorded for an Imax video released January 2010 as well as performing at the Austin City Limits 35th anniversary Drummie Zeb ™s first Country tour experience will always be archived After the summer tour with Kenny Chesney Zeb went back to fine tuning recording and writing for his personal project Regwa Regwa ™s library consists of a blended sound of Country and Reggae songs from his First Time cd with The Razor Posse Every body ™s Gotta Server Somebody from the reggae tribute to Bob Dylan album Is it rolling Bob which Zeb and Dr Dread produced and played on and the roots music of Morocco American Country and Reggae mixed to create a healing vibration for all A special thanks to all sponsors Sonor Drums Viper Drums Vater Drumsticks and Mike Curran Percussions Jah Love | ||||
